Hyatt Place Caters to Women Travelers

Hyatt Place Lobby, Jacksonville Airport

How many times do we women feel pampered at a large hotel chain? Do we ever really feel that the brand and its respective offerings and amenities really cater to us? Imagine my surprise when I stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel in North Jacksonville, Florida. I was in the city to visit friends and family and looked for a convenient northern location with spacious rooms. Jacksonville is home to beautiful beaches; and this location placed me minutes away from loved ones, shopping, the unspoiled beaches of Amelia Island, and the airport.

The Hyatt Place North Jacksonville not only welcomes female travelers, but actually celebrates us. As I was booking the hotel, I had a chance to speak with Audrey Miller, the Sales and PR Coordinator, who explained what the concept was all about.

For years Hyatt has conducted market research to understand what one of its largest growing market segments – female business travelers – wanted from a hotel. The responses turned into action, and at my Hyatt Place suite, I was greeted with a travelers kit, including: hair brush, comb, hair spray, make-up remover pads, bathrobe and slippers, toothpaste, vanity kit, and two bottles of water. I was also welcomed with a glass of white wine, but that little perk is probably not standard!

Other items are available upon request, and they are separated into categories like Tech, Beauty, and Baby & Kids. What’s really nice is that you can ask for a curling or flat iron for your hair! Can you imagine not having to travel with one more extra thing?

The rooms are well-appointed and spacious, decorated in a sophisticated neutral palette of gold, tans, and cream. The super plush Hyatt Grand Bed, mini refrigerator, large screen TV, and bathroom vanities with granite countertops makes the room a nice home away from home.

A gym, free Wi-Fi, lounge area, gallery bistro, and complimentary breakfast (featuring Kitchen Skillet™ hot items like bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, fresh fruit, and oatmeal) were all nice touches to my stay.

Carolyn Pearson of Maiden Voyage expresses how to resonate with female business travelers: “One thing that differentiates women from men is we react with our senses, and we’re wired to pay much more attention to cleanliness, smells, aesthetics, fabrics, tastes and sounds,” she says. “It’s the details that we notice.” At Hyatt Place North Jacksonville, they have hit all the sensory marks for me!

Hyatt Place is part of the Hyatt Hotel family, offering upscale accommodations for the business traveler that combine style, innovation, and 24/7 conveniences.
